A yellow barberry bush at the edge of the woods trembles violently: two deer are stripping the fruit from its thorny branches.

  1. 6 a.m.: I yell at the racoon who is stretching up to shake sunflower seed from my feeder. He is fat and furry. Reminds me of what they say about caterpillars in the fall.


    1. Hi Phil! Yeah, I’m sure if I had a birdfeeder near my porch, I could get a lot more action in this here blog.
