    1. Yes, we have black locusts and honey locusts. They are thorny leguminous trees akin to acacias. A thornless version of the honey locust is often planted as a street tree. Here on the mountain, the black locust is a common first-successional tree, and there are a number of them around the houses and at the wood’s edge. They can get over 80 feet tall.
