The view from my front porch:
Old men spit tobacco drippings into paper coffee cups, or the occasional mug, commenting about longhorns and energy, and the way things used to be. Nobody cares about the birds circling above their heads.
And we don’t care about Twitter character limits either. It’s Texas.

Yes, everything’s bigger in Texas, isn’t it? Mouths, egos, assholes… And having seen for myself just how few and far between your state parks are, I’m quite prepared to believe that no one cares about the birds.
