So sorry to hear of the dog‘s injury/demise. But so glad it wasn’t anything else.
The dead elm was the flicker tree wasn’t it… I’m rather hoping the nest hole has been taken off in order to prevent any further nestling fatalities.
The break is three feet above the flicker hole. The dog statue is unrepairable, I’m afraid — all four legs and the tail shattered, in addition to the break through the middle.
