Love having you “home,” but I know it is bittersweet.
Thanks, Sarah. The house I stay in here had been thoroughly cleaned, sorted, and rearranged while I was gone, which was a great thing to come home to, but also brought home the essential vagabondage of my existence (and I would argue all existence). But now of course the nesting instinct reasserts itself, especially with the nights drawing in.
The word choices here put me right there, watching and listening, pulling on an extra sweater.
Glad you could relate. (It does always make it seem colder to put the temperature into Celsius, doesn’t it?)
