Strange! Here we would think a creeper a plant (a vine) – but there it must be an animal, an insect or a bird.

We have one of those types of creepers too, the Virginia creeper! But this is a little bird who spends most of his or her time creeping up or down the trunk of a tree, inspecting it for insects – a bark-gleaner.
