Fly carefully, small butterfly. The air grows thick with the fumes of hatred and vengeance. Fly far away from the impulses of those who would destroy the earth in order to rule it.
Last Saturday I saw my first ever crowd of monarch caterpillars on a milkweed field! The stripes were beautiful and they were having a total buffet. It was in Toronto in a park.
The caterpillars are striking, yes — and have you seen the chrysalises? Among the most beautiful objects in nature.
